Junie Clauther: Chairman of the Board

Junie Clauther has 16 years of experience in social services, 10 of which are in management. She is currently the program director of a Supportive Housing Program. As a manager, she works alongside many departments and agency personnel including the Department of Homeless Services, the Department of Mental Health, the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, the Office of Temporary Disability Assistance, landlords, brokers, housing specialists, employment agencies, the Administration of Children Services, the Department of Education, hospitals, police departments, domestic violence agencies, and emergency medical services; as well as safety, maintenance, and detox centers. Over the years, she oversaw the operation of programs for different family shelters as well as for supportive housing. Junie has a BA in community and clinical psychology from the University of New Haven and a masters in community counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. JCHHOMES INC to her is a way out of the norm, a place where all participants will have a chance to grow and to be who they were meant to be regardless of their experience. JCHHOMES INC is a haven where everyone truly matters.

Alvin Hodge: CEO

Alvin Hodge was born in St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands. He has 15 years of experience in the social services field. Alvin has dedicated his life to assisting homeless veterans, substance abusers, and homeless families in the shelter system. Alvin also assists families with employment, education and counseling. Alvin believes, "The greatness of man is not in how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively." The true strength of JCHHOMES INC is its team of people that will unequivocally provide people with the tools to grow and develop individually.

Shawn Clauther Esq.: General Counsel

Mr. Clauther is the General Counsel for JCHHOMES INC Mr. Clauther earned a BA in political science from Hofstra University and earned his JD from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Clauther has had extensive contact with lower-income communities both before and after his admission to the bar, and he views our work as a worthy effort to help people achieve independence and prove that one past mistake does not have to cost a person his entire life.

April A. Smith: Director of Community Relations

April is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, who arrived in the United States at the age of 9. She received a bachelor's degree in social work in 1986 at Herbert H. Lehman College in the Bronx. For the past 13 years, she has worked in the human service fields as a substance abuse counselor (CASA-T), housing specialist, case manager and residential aide. She is presently a medical services coordinator. April's primary goal in life is to help the homeless, substance abuse victims, and mentally ill individuals recover.

Dorphus Williams III: President

Dorphus Williams III was born in New York City and has been working in the social services field servicing the MICA population.

Mr. Williams believes that one cannot truly help others if one does not understand the stumbling block of individual faces when struggling to navigate the road of progress. He follows the philosophy that action speaks louder than words.

Yolette Williams: Vice President

Yolette Williams, a Licensed Clinical social Worker and Licensed psychotherapist, she is Certified in Neurofeedback, and is also a Certified School District Administrator and has spent over 20 years working in different capacities with the NYC Department of Education, primarily serving students with special needs and their families. Her expertise extends to the neurological based disorders, including Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Many of her roles at the DOE, included, but not limited to Mediator, Impartial Hearing Litigator, counseling services, consultant to school principals and teachers. She also led IEP meetings, developed behavior Intervention plans, functional behavior analysis and clinical assistance during crisis. For the last 20 years, as president of CSW Brain Enhancement and Psychotherapy, Ms. Williams has simultaneously maintained a private practice providing psychotherapy services to patients diagnosed primarily with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Intergenerational and family difficulties. The treatment focus utilized the tools of cognitive therapy, play therapy, family system therapy, and neurofeedback. Housing is an absolute necessity; it is a human right, and I have chosen to be a part of JCHHOMES because of the lack of appropriate and affordable housing in New York and the high cost of housing that has left so many people homeless and in despair. I believe in this organization and its unique mission to ending homelessness.

Jo-Ann Winston-Clauther: Secretary & Educator

Jo-Ann Winston-Clauther was born in Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica. Jo-Ann is an educator who worked in a private school for 11 years, and has been working with the special needs population for 6 years. Jo-Ann likes to travel, read, cook, and dance in her leisure time. Jo-Ann views our organization as a sanctuary for individuals as they go through the process of rehabilitation in order to be reintroduced as functional members of society. Jo-Ann decided to take up the role as secretary because she wanted to, "be the change that [she] wants to see in the world," as famously quoted by Mahatma Gandhi.
